RETURN POLICY
1. General Policy Statement
1.1. TF Renovations, operating under the legal business name 11141830 Canada Inc. (the “Company”), permits customers to return eligible products purchased through the Company’s online portal within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of purchase or delivery, whichever occurs later, subject to the terms and conditions set out below.
1.2. This Policy forms part of the Company’s Terms and Conditions of Sale and applies to all online purchases unless expressly stated otherwise.
2. Eligibility for Returns
2.1. A product may be eligible for return only if all of the following criteria are met:
2.1.1. the return request is initiated within fourteen (14) calendar days of purchase or delivery;
2.1.2. the customer provides a valid receipt or proof of purchase;
2.1.3. the product is unused, uninstalled, unaltered, and in original condition;
2.1.4. all original packaging, components, accessories, manuals, and any promotional items are included and intact; and
2.1.5. the product shows no signs of damage, wear, or misuse.
3. Non-Returnable Products
3.1. The following categories are final sale and not eligible for return under any circumstance:
3.1.1. custom-ordered, made-to-order, or specially manufactured items;
3.1.2. clearance, discounted, or “final sale” products marked as such at checkout;
3.1.3. open-box, cut, altered, or installed materials of any kind;
3.1.4. personal hygiene products;
3.1.5. perishable or time-sensitive goods;
3.1.6. items with broken seals on software or digital content;
3.1.7. adhesives, grout, setting materials, chemicals, paint, stains, or consumables.
3.2. Construction and Building Materials – Industry Standard Restrictions
The following items become strictly non-returnable once opened, handled, unwrapped, or removed from original packaging:
3.2.1. porcelain and ceramic tiles, mosaics, slabs, natural stone, or tile boxes;
3.2.2. laminate, hardwood, engineered or vinyl flooring, including any opened box;
3.2.3. drywall, cement board, insulation, underlayment, waterproofing products, or similar materials;
3.2.4. products measured by length, square footage, or weight;
3.2.5. any item cut, resized, installed, applied, or otherwise altered.
3.3. Installed Products
Any product that has been installed, mounted, used, or subjected to cutting or sealing is strictly non-returnable.
4. Shade, Color, and Pattern Variations
4.1. Tile, stone, flooring, and similar products may include natural or manufacturer-approved variations in shade, veining, pattern, and texture.
4.2. Such variations do not constitute defects and are not grounds for return or refund.
5. Return Process
5.1. To initiate a return, the customer must:
5.1.1. contact Customer Service via the Company’s website, telephone, or email to obtain a Return Authorization Number (RAN);
5.1.2. provide proof of purchase and describe the reason for return;
5.1.3. package the item securely using its original packaging or equivalent protective materials; and
5.1.4. deliver the item to the Company’s designated return location with the RAN clearly marked on the outside of the parcel.
5.2. Returns without a RAN will not be accepted.
6. Inspection Upon Delivery or Pick-Up
6.1. Customers are required to inspect all items at the time of delivery or pick-up.
6.2. Any damage, shortage, or order discrepancy must be reported within forty-eight (48) hours.
6.3. Failure to report issues within this timeframe may limit the Company’s ability to provide remedies.
7. Damaged or Defective Products
7.1. If an item is received damaged or proves defective within the return period:
7.1.1. the customer must notify Customer Service immediately;
7.1.2. the Company may request photographic evidence before issuing approval;
7.1.3. return shipping for damaged or defective items will be arranged at no cost to the customer; and
7.1.4. the customer may choose either a replacement or a full refund, including original shipping charges.
8. Return Shipping Costs
8.1. Except where a product is defective or damaged upon arrival, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
8.2. The Company recommends the use of a trackable and insured shipping method.
8.3. The Company is not liable for returned items lost or damaged during transit unless using Company-provided return labels or methods.
9. Refunds
9.1. Following inspection and acceptance, refunds will be processed as follows:
9.1.1. refunds will be issued using the same method of payment used at purchase;
9.1.2. original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable;
9.1.3. refunds are typically processed within ten (10) business days after inspection; and
9.1.4. the customer will receive written confirmation once the refund has been completed.
9.2. Restocking Fee
For eligible returns of construction materials, flooring, tile, stone, or any product requiring repackaging or inspection, the Company may apply a restocking fee of up to twenty-five percent (25%) of the product value.
The applicable fee will be disclosed prior to issuing a RAN.
9.3. Refund Denial
The Company reserves the right to refuse a refund where the returned product:
(a) shows signs of use, installation, or alteration;
(b) is damaged, incomplete, or improperly packaged;
(c) is returned without a valid RAN; or
(d) otherwise fails to meet this Policy’s requirements.
10. Order Cancellations
10.1. Orders may be cancelled prior to shipment only with written confirmation from the Company.
10.2. Special-order and custom items cannot be cancelled after the order has been placed with the supplier.
10.3. If an order has shipped, it will be treated as a return under this Policy.
11. Manufacturer Warranties
11.1. Some products may be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty.
11.2. Customers must direct warranty claims to the manufacturer unless the Company expressly agrees to facilitate the process.
11.3. The Company offers no warranty beyond the manufacturer’s express warranties.
12. Fraud Prevention and Abuse of Return Privileges
12.1. The Company may limit or refuse returns where patterns of excessive, abusive, or fraudulent behavior are identified.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
13.1.1. product installation, removal, or reinstallation;
13.1.2. project delays, lost labor, or contractor costs;
13.1.3. misuse or improper application of products.
13.2. The customer is responsible for verifying measurements, quantities, specifications, and suitability before installation.
14. Governing Law
14.1. This Policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
14.2. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
15. Modifications
15.1. The Company may amend this Policy at any time without prior notice.
15.2. The most recent version will be posted on the Company’s website and will govern all returns from that date forward.
Defined Terms
- “Company” means TF Renovations, operating under 11141830 Canada Inc.
- “Return Authorization Number (RAN)” means a unique identifier issued by the Company to process returns.
- “Customer Service” refers to the Company department responsible for customer inquiries, complaints, and return requests.
